Vehicle description
For your consideration. . A fantastic, very solid Studebaker Champion that just oozes cool equipped with a factory Studebaker V-8 with 3 speed manual transmission (new clutch) with electric overdrive. The car hales from California originally where it was purchased new and spent much of it"s life. The car moved to Arizona in the 80"s and remained there till 2006 when it made it"s way here to Nebraska and has been stored inside since. We purchased the car about a year ago with intentions of my son and I running it again at Bonneville for the 3rd time in it"s life. It was ran there in 1959 and 2003 at speed week. Due to Covid and all the other malarky going on last year, that just didn"t play out. It is as solid a car as you would ever find. One very small soft spot on the rear passenger front fender visable in the pics. is the only rust the car has ever had (obvious surface only rust on the bottom). It was painted yellow with single stage paint which still shows well today as it has been stored inside always. The interior is excellent down to the glass 9 ball shifter, new upholstery, carpet, and headliner done in 2006, but still excellent overall. It has a rebuilt commander v8 engine and a ford high geared rear-end (original goes with it). We personally went through the drivetrain again after the purchase and rebuilt the starter, new fuel pump, new brakes and cylinders, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, u joints, tires, new 8 volt battery, and misc. other needs. The wheels are a factory steel wheel with new tires and a Moon billet aluminum race caps screwed on. It is an absolute turn key and enjoy car. We have at ton of paperwork with the car including an article on the car featured in Hot Rod Magazine in the mid to late 60"s and original paperwork when sold new in California and it"s lineage since. We had a flood last summer and all of our files were relocated at that time. When we locate them, they will come with it, or be sent to the purchaser. I"ve dealt in collectible and muscle cars as a passion for 33 years, have a perfect rating on eBay, and still deal on honesty, and a hand shake.
