Vehicle description

Meet FRANTIC.
Titled and registered in Florida in my name as a 1955 Morris Minor, this machine was built and finished just a few years ago to be a strip, AND street monster!
Fit with a 357ci FORD powerplant that was purpose-built for this application, the car runs 11:1 compression out of its balance and blueprinted engine equipped with Trick Flow intake, Barry Grant 856 Carb, custom worked Iron Heads, custom fabricated headers, an MSD6AL, and more.
A freshly built C-4 transmission with manual valve body and a TCI 6000 stall converter sends power back to the FORD 9” SPOOL rear-end with 4.11’s and Moser Axles.
All new bearings, seals, hardware and suspension bits have less than 60 runs on them, including the new front disc-brake conversion and custom front axle with steering dampener.
All new brakes in the rear as well, plus a new set of gauges to monitor vitals, flip front end conversion with safety pins, and a bevy of new safety items including belts, window net, transmission blanket, diaper, and flywheel scatter shield.
Electric cooling fan, high-flow water pump, and competition radiator keep things cool, and an all new wiring harness with included diagram makes the other kind of power run smoothly too.
windshield and windows in doors are glass and they do roll up and down
Full roll cage is installed for extra protection, and the seats are custom made in vintage flake to match the cars exterior appeal.
A custom GRANT removable steering wheel makes getting in and out a snap, and ratchet shift works perfectly to blast through the gears.
New VIPER RED paint was retro’d up with vintage crushed glass and gold leaf flakes from the 70’s to create the killer finish you see in the pics!
The paint does look amazing enough to have won a stack of trophies at local car shows and cruise nights, including the HUGE Classic Car show at Old Town, Kissimmee Florida!
Doors open full, and the roll cage has entry bars that swing out to allow easy entrance.
It is quite roomy for its size, and even a 6’2 250 pound customer got in and out with ease!
Flip switches activate most of the functions for simplicity when using race gloves, and the rear master cut off is easy for pit crew and track staff to find and use.
A well-know car throughout the Midwest and northeast, it has been shown in countless magazines, webzines, and videos.
It is a consistent 11 second car in streetable form, and would have plenty more if track-only use was your goal.
The car starts easy, idles clean, and is and absolute BLAST to drive.
It handles quite well considering the straight axle, shot length and narrowness of the car, and you can cruise at 55 without much attention required.
Mash the go-pedal and the car just LEAPS and is ready to eat up pavement.
The car has a trunk mounted battery with included battery tender unit, and a poly fuel tank with hi-flow racing pump and new lines. It is just a really well-executed example of a fun to drive, fun to race, and fun to own 60’s style gasser. any Questons call MIKE
