Vehicle description
Vehicle Details Ford Fairlane Victoria: For your consideration is a very smooth running 1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria. I have driven this car on the interstate several times and the car loves to run right on down the road straight between the lines. No wobble and stops as it should. About a year ago I installed five new tires on the car and the spare has never been on the ground. Still has the original 272 V-8 under the hood. When you are at a light in idle you hardly notice the engine running- -it is smooth and doesn't smoke. The car is done in the style of the 1950s: Lowered, fender skirts, dual mufflers that give a nice mellow tone, shaved hood. The original Ford-a-matic was pulled and professionally rebuilt- -smooth running/shifting. The glass is all good and there is no rust that I have found, body is very straight with nice paint. There is a small chip in the paint just in front of the right rear wheel- see photo. The car is now 12 volt with an alternator. Just installed a brand new 12 volt windshield wiper motor to replace the original vacuum motor (original wiper motor is in the trunk). Original radio is in the car but doesn't work, but the horn is brand new and honks as it should. All lights work great, including the turn signals. New gas tank. All the dash knobs are original except the choke knob. The original 1955 Ford manuals are in the trunk- see photo. Seats, floor mats and dash look good- see photos. The odometer says 87,365 miles, however I 'm not the original owner so I can't verify that number as correct. Clear Texas title in my name. Transportation is at the expense of the buyer. Car is for sale locally so the auction will end if it sells locally. You are welcome to see the car and take a test drive. Also, included with the car is a set of restored original Texas license plates. These plates have been approved by the state and registered with the car. The cost of the plates was almost $300.00 and are included with the car along with the bobble head dog behind the back seat. There is a low reserve on the car so bid to win. Thanks for looking.
