Vehicle description
Vehicle Details 1955 Ford Fairlane 4 Dr. Town Sedan. Offering this very low original mileage garage kept Classic Ford with all matching numbers. It has been kept indoors during inclement weather including all Winters and only driven for pleasure on good weather days. It has been very well cared for and never in an accident. All the parts from the engine on back are original except for those that must be replaced such as tires, exhaust and brakes. Even the engine has all matching numbers including the original carburetor. There is no rust on the body or undercarriage and only very minor garage rash that is barely visible. There are no dents or door dings either. The glass is clear and unbroken anywhere. I just spent $5000 to have a shop go through and replace and rebuild all gaskets, seals, (including rear main, transmission and rear end pumpkin and clutch). They also replaced all of the brakes including shoes, wheel cylinders and springs. The steering gear box was rebuilt as was the carburetor and engine valves. All fluids were drained including the transmission, radiator, rear end and brakes and engine oil and was replaced with new. It has not had a restoration; in fact it is a very near perfect survivor with original paint which you can see from the photos is good. The interior was covered with a protective plastic when the car was new and it still looks like showroom quality. The car starts and runs smoothly. I would be comfortable driving it for hundreds of miles a day without any fear of mechanical issues. The radio and wipers even work as do all of the lights and the horn and turn signals. The tires are wide white Coker which although not the original, are the best made tires today for the model to keep the original appearance. '55 Fords of this quality are selling for mid $20s and up. I am only seeking a modest price and will consider any reasonable offer; simply ask me in a "Contact Seller" question. Thanks for looking. Images Download the Motors app
