Vehicle description
1955 Crown Victoria with Glass Roof
This beautiful 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria features the rare and desirable glass roof. The Fairlane in 1955 was Ford"s top-line model, and while the expensive transparent top only sold 1,999 units, they helped propel Ford to its best sales year since 1923. As many Ford fans are aware, the factory built Skyliners are identified with a 64B body code. However, both the hard top and glass top Crown Victorias shared the flashy chrome "basket handle," or "tiara," which flowed up one B-pillar, across the roof, and down the other, as well as the trademark stainless-steel "Fairlane stripe" on the side. It features an older restoration that has held up well. original 272 y block v8 is mated to the 3 speed on the column transmission with rare overdrive. A stunning and rare classic to add to any stable. This particular crown victoria has been garage kept for the past 15 years. Finally seeing daylight. It has cleaned up well. It will need slight carb work to get it running to highway standards. It will run and drive around town. Selling as is as pictured. Any questions please feel free to ask. Located in San Antonio, TX. Clean title on hand.
