Vehicle description
1955 Dodge Royal, Custom edt, flagship model in the Coronet family lineup, 270 cu. In. “Red Ram” HEMI engine, 2 spd auto trans with cool dash shifter, emergency brake holds great, originally red/white combo, but now in very worn metal flake black paint, bumpers are straight, although they do have some pitting and surface rust, blk/wht interior in very good condition, driver’s side window does have a crack, however still rolls up/down, the rest of windows are fine, carpet is faded, could use a headliner, gauges work, except for gas gauge which appears to just need a tank sending unit to fix it, radio delete car, even though it seems there was previously an aftermarket under dash radio hooked up since it has wiring and a fender antenna, lights work including dash lights, American racing 15 in. aluminum wheels with new tires, straight pipe single exhaust which sounds great, newer brake master cylinder, rebuilt generator, rebuilt starter, new voltage regulator, new belts, new upper radiator hose, recent tune up and oil change and with a zinc additive always used, I didn’t get a chance to change the points/condenser/cap/rotor, but the plugs and wires are new, probably could use a battery soon, since it’s been giving me a bit of problem with starting lately, frame has just the normal surface rust which I was going to sand and paint, floor pans could use attention, trunk pan is fine, spare tire looks perfect, comes with many extra parts including the various trim which is seen missing in pics, comes with the owner’s manual, car cover and extra set of keys. All the panels are there and straight otherwise, just some rust spots on lower rockers/lower doors and some other spots that need attention, I was really planning on making it a rat rod, putting it either in a flat black or satin black paint, overall just some bodywork and paint would really set this car off!
