Vehicle description

This is an original drivetrain 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe. Paint Code: Regal Turquoise and India Ivory Original 265 V8 , 2bbl, powerglide transmission, and rear end. The car is optioned with the Bel Air trim, oil filter, electric wipers, fuel door trim, front gravel shields, rocker molding, AM in dash radio, floor mats and in dash clock. This car also has dual exhaust. Please note, this car is an older restoration as I purchased it in 1998. Paint is still in good shape, and the floors are in good shape. When I purchased the car there was one small spot of rust appearing next to the rear window trim on the driver side, I never bothered to repair it and it’s still there (see photo). Interior seat covers and headliner were replaced during the restoration with a correct after-market interior. The driver seat lower vinyl has a 3 inch tear near the seat adjuster (see photo). Engine compartment is very clean. The Trunk is very clean and has the Original Mat & Spare Tire in place with no jack. This car has been updated in 2016 with the following; original size Diamondback radial tires with correct width white walls, replaced complete brake system with a period correct aftermarket dual exhaust brake line system (single master cylinder, hard and soft lines, brake shoes, brake hardware, junction blocks, rear drums and wheel cylinders), replaced complete fuel system,(gas tank, fuel neck, hard and soft lines, fuel pump, fuel sending unit and rebuilt 2bbl carburetor), and 4 new monroe shocks consisting of 2 air shocks in the rear. The aging dual exhaust system needs to be replaced. The heater core has been by-passed, the speedometer cable housing seal should be replaced as it is starting to weep. It is a nice driving car that has always been garaged and only driven in good weather since I have owned it. The car has been registered in the state of Maine since purchased in 1998. In the state Maine a vehicle 1994 and older does not require a title. If a title is needed, one can obtain one from the state of Maine. I have tried to describe this car very accurately with clear disclosure. Thank you for your interest.
