Vehicle description
UNIQUE ANTIQUE CHEVROLETE 3100 1954 & 1/2 (TECHNICALLY 1955") PICK UP TRUCK H ad big plans to restore it but never got around to it, looking for someone who will restore it back to its original condition. It has been a number of years since it last ran, carburetor needs work as well as the motor, rear end, etc. Has 264, ? ?1 (? ? blacked out can not see any numbers) original miles on it. The box has some rust, drivers side cowl/fender, drivers side body around door, running board showing rust, appears to have the original wooden floor deck which needs a lot of work(see photo"s). Back window cracked & broken. Title has been purged from the Colorado Motor Vehicle system, buyer need a Bill of Sale (will be provided) and a VIN verification (which in my county requires the vehicle to be running & road worthy), in order to retitle a vehicle. White Tool box shown is NOT included in this auction!
A Little History on the 54 1/2 (TECHNICALLY 1955"):
Although an all-new truck was planned for the following year, 1954 Chevrolet trucks received a minor restyle, which included a one-piece curved windshield, a new grille and front turn signals. The dashboard was redesigned, new style steering wheel and twin instrument dia ls. Bed redesign had a lower loading height, taller bed sides, and horizontal top rails, not slopped like previous models. Taillights are now round, Rear bumper now has "notch" in center for license plate. Engineering advancements included the new standard 235.5-cubic-inch OHV six-cylinder engine producing 112 horsepower and 200 ft-lb. gross torque. There were no standard turn signals on the Advance Design trucks but these were offered as an option in 1954. Finally, all trucks used a 6-volt negative ground electrical system.
