Vehicle description

I have a 1955 Chevrolet 210 4 door sedan for sale with a clear title in my name. It is a very nice and tight solid car. The doors and trunk close like a new car with no effort. The door, vent and trunk weather stripping is still serviceable The windows roll up and down easily. The car still has its 235 six cylinder engine with powerglide automatic transmission. The engine cranks quickly and doesn"t smoke or burn oil. The auto transmission shifts well and it doesn"t burp fluid like most powerglides are known to do when setting up. The roof drip rails, rockers, fender eyebrows, lower fender area, lower doors, door jambs, trunk pan and rear pan between the bumper and trunk floor are 100% rust free. The car still has its original tire tool and jack.
The following parts have been recently replaced and are new or like new: radiator, water pump, gas tank, fuel pump, brake master cylinder, brake pads.
The car was probably repainted in the 1960"s or early 1970"s. Fortunately the door jambs and inside the trunk were not repainted so it does not have any nasty overspray in those areas. The paint is weathered and is breaking down. Someone in the past started sanding a few areas and got carried away with the grey rattle can spray primer. Most of this grey primer should come off with a little effort.
The car"s seat covers were recovered with that old vinyl that was used in the 60"s-70"s. The front and rear covers are torn. I removed the headliner since it was dry rotted and falling apart. I also removed the car"s original rubber floor and trunk mats were brittle and coming apart. The car"s door panels are not torn or warped. They look great but need a good cleaning.
Part of the car"s hood ornament wing is broken off. The car"s horn ring is missing.
The car"s windshield is nice but its lower areas are delaminating and are a little "foggy". This is common for old aged windshields. The driver side door window is cracked. The window rolls up and down easily but the driver"s door glass should be replaced.
The car is sold with a set of like new American Racing 15" slotted rims and the P205-70R-15 tires which are pictured.
I don"t have the car"s original wheels or hubcaps. I do have a set of 55-56 15" rims from a parts car. These original rims are in poor condition with dry rotted tires. These original style rims can also go with the car for free if the buyer wants them.
The car cranks, runs, stops, shifts and steers easily. The odometer is showing 95,000 plus miles. I have no idea if the mileage is correct or if the odometer has rolled over. I don"t know the car"s history other than it has been a local car kept under shelter for decades.
I set a reasonable reserve for the car which should easily be met and sell. I could only put 18 photos in the add. I would be happy to send more photos to serious bidders. The car will be available for viewing and test drives during the auction. I really feel that if you come see and drive the car you will buy it!
*Note, I may delete bidders with little or no feedback. These and oversea bidders should contact me first if wishing to bid.
I do not use the "new Ebay app" on my cellphone. I only use the old standard Ebay system on my laptop computer. If a bidder has a question please ask using the tried and true ebay message system we have used the last 20 years. I work full time as well as side jobs so I don"t have time to play on an Iphone.
* Note, I only accept Cash or Bank Wire transfers. Car dealer"s also use this system and it works well. I expect the winning bidder to vet me and to be confident in their purchase. I have sold several vehicles to classic car dealers as well as individuals this way in the past. I expect full payment to be made within 5 working days from the end of the auction. The car will not leave my possession under any circumstances until it is first fully paid for with funds secured in my bank.
The winning bidder will make arrangements for transportation. I will be available to assist loading the car.
Thanks for looking and again please ask questions as needed through the old Ebay message system.
