Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details Beautiful 1955 Chevy truck 3100 short bed step side, big window cab restomod build. This monster is airbagged, tubbed, has over 800 horsepower but drives very nice and has all the immenties that you would want with a hotrod like air conditioning, 4 wheel big disc brakes, JL audio stereo, Dakota digital gauges, tilt column, power steering and even power windows. Complete frame off build, every nut and bolt on this truck is new and has lots of expensive after market parts and hundreds of man hours to get it to this level. Truck is 100% rust free and the original body lines of the truck haven’t been changed too much because they look so good the way they are from the factory. However the suspension, chassis, drive terrain and interior have all been drastically modified to give the truck the performance and that sweet restomod look. Starting with the frame the original frame was sand blasted, Camaro front subframe was grafted into the original truck frame, then C notched, boxed, 4 linked and custom cross members were installed. The frame was built to support the power of the big block Chevy engine. The frame has been powder coated and all new bolts and hardware were used to reassemble everything. The original stock suspension was all removed and replaced. FRONT SUSPENSION INCLUDES -Global West Tubular Control Arms -2 inch Western Drop Spindles -Wilwood 14 inch disc brake kit, 6 piston -Adjustable Ridetech Shockwaves -Flaming River 12-1 Ratio Power Steering Box -Hotchkis tie rods and adjusting sleeves -Moog pitman arm, idler arm and center REAR SUSPENSION INCLUDES -Chris Alston Fab 9 chromoly rear end -Strange Tru Trac Posi 3.73 Gears -Strange Alluminum HD Pro 3rd member -Strange SS 35 spline axles -Chris Alston 4 link rear suspension -Ridetech Shockwaves (Front and Rear) -Ridetech Airpod System, dual compressors with 5 gallon tank all hidden under the bed -14 inch Wilwood disc brakes with 4 piston calipers ENGINE -Blueprint 632 Big Block Chevy Crate Engine (815 horsepower with 800 ft pounds) runs on 91 octane pump gas -Holley 3 circuit XP 1050 Dominator Carburetor with PTS sensor -Eddies Motorsports 8 rib serpentine kit raven series with 200 amp alternator upgrade -Custom built ceramic coated big tube headers 2 1/4 primary into 4 inch collectors with electric cutouts and 4 inch exhaust with X pipe and spin tech mufflers (loud) -MSD ignition system TRANSMISSION -New Hughes HD 4L80e fully programmable -Hughes Billet 10.5 inch converter (3200 stall) -US shift trans controller -Genie Shifter -Custom built Alluminum driveshaft with 1350 u joints made by Inland empire driveline service -Trans needs to be reprogrammed , a simple tune was programmed in the beginning with a laptop to make it driveable but more adjustments need to be made INTERIOR -Custom made by Ernies Auto Interiors -TMI bench seat -Custom made center console that has the air ride controller built into it -Genie billet shifter -One piece power windows -Custom JL audio stereo system with two 12 inch TW3 sub woofers with retro sound head unit with Bluetooth and iPhone plug in wire -Cab floor and doors were sprayed with lizard skin insulation then Dynamat was applied for the best insulation possible -Dakota Digital VHX series Gauges -Vintage Air Conditioning system with custom billet dash inserts from billet specialties -Flaming river tilt steering column -Billet gas and brake pedal -Kugel performance under dash brake assembly -Custom Ron Francis wiring harness -A Optima battery is mounted to the frame of the truck in a custom drop down battery box -For added security and convenience a battery jumper box and a ground switch was installed to shut off power to the truck while parked it’s located on the step on the driver side BRAKING -Truck stops better then any hotrod I’ve ever driven! -Hydratech Hydroboost show prep unit with Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve -14 inch Wilwood disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors on all 4 corners -Wilwood Red 6 piston calipers (front) and Red 4 piston (rear) -All new custom hand bent brake lines mounted securely to the frame PAINT & BODY -All of the sheet metal on this truck is new including the cab, the doors, the bed, the front fenders and hood ($21,000 in just sheet metal alone) -All of the chrome on the truck is new including the front bumper, grill, headlight bezels and turn signals -Complete bed was purchased from Mark K, includes their hidden tail gate latch kit -Bed floor was raised 8 inches to accommodate the C notch in the frame and to best utilize that empty space a 30 gallon custom Alluminum fuel cell was built there along with mounting the Ridetech AirPod system -Cab drip rail was pinched and smoothed -Cab firewall was recessed 4 inches, shaved, and the firewall lip was removed -Engine was moved back 4 inches for better weight transfer and to clear the serpentine kit/electric fans -Windshield wipers were removed and filled -Mirrors we’re removed and filled -Paint is House of Colors Jet black with their show clear -Overall I would say this truck has a nice driver quality paint job and not a Chip Foose million dollar one, there are imperfections in the paint which is more noticeable in certain lighting FUEL SYSTEM -Aeromotive Stealth 340 electric fuel pump built into the custom Alluminum fuel tank hidden under the bed with return system just in case I wanted to go LS one day -Aeromotive adjustable fuel regulator -All earls braided fuel line and fittings -Holley XP 3 circuit Dominator -Aeromotive fuel filter 10 micron COOLING -Custom polished PRC Alluminum radiator and core support -Dual Spal electric HP Fans thermostatically controlled plus there’s an over ride switch inside the cab EXHAUST -Custom built headers by Scottys Muffler in San Bernardino 2 1/4 inch primary into a 4 inch collector, ceramic coated, mild steel -Quick Time Performance electric exhaust cutouts (go open headers with a flip of a switch) -4 inch exhaust all the way to the rear -Spintech X pipe -Spintech Prostreet Mufflers (very loud but sound amazing) WHEELS -Colorado Customs Polished 2 Piece Billet -18x7 front mounted on BF Goodrich tires -20x15 rear mounted on a 31/18/20 Mickey Thompson SR Radial tire and yes they are 18 inches wide! Here’s your chance to buy a 55’ Chevy truck for a fraction of what it would cost to duplicate. This truck makes a ton of power and I would not recommend this to the beginner hot rodder. If someone wanted to install a mild LS engine and pull the big block you easily could do so because the fuel system and transmission are already setup for that. This truck is a custom built one off and there’s nothing like it on the market right now. Most people would never take on such a task of putting the massive 632 Chevy engine into an old truck while giving it so much attention to detail and style. If you buy the truck your neighbors will hate you and the gas stations will love you lol. Truck is sold As Is with no warranties and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Shipping to be paid for by the buyer. Truck has a clean California title and is currently registered. For more information please call (951) 675-9982.
