Up for sale is my 1955 Chevrolet 2 door post. I"m not sure if this is a belair or a 210, hence why my title has both listed.
This is one of my favorite cars I"ve ever owned. I mean between two lane blacktop and American Graffiti who didn"t fall in love with a 55 2 door post. You know what else I really love about this car ? Its a sleeper, I"ve been half tempted to install stock wheels with dog dish hubcaps. I"ve owned the cars without hoods, cars with dual fours sticking through the hoods, tubbed cars with big tire, etc. You know what all the equals ? Cops follow you around and kids with $500 honda cars with no exhaust think they should race you at every stoplight. Cool at first, but in the end its a pain. So this car has the horses but nobody knows it until you stomp on the gas.
The body and the paint are show quality. I get trophies every show I attend. Of course if you drive them eventually you get a rock chip or this or that, but its a very good looking car.
The interior is nice as well, and in staying with the sleeper look has stock seats with nice cloth covers. Seat covers, door panels, headliner, etc all match and look nice.
The Motor is a heathly but a streetable 454. What does that mean, it doesn"t need 100 octane, it doesn"t foul plugs cruising around town, it doesn"t get 3 mpg. But it does have a good sounding idle and has no problem squaking the tires if you want to. Its backed with turbo 350 and a stock rearend with middle gears. So its good for long distance trips and around town. Stops, steers, brakes, just like it should.
The bottom of the car looks just as good as the top. If you took just a bare shell to a restoration shop and had them restore it to the quality of this car you would easily spend 50 grand. This car is a good deal, like I said before I"m losing storage, something has to go.
I would accept cash when you pick it up or a bank wire transfer. I would like to be paid in full within 48 hours after the auction ends.
I deal with trucking companies on a daily basis for work, so if you need help with transportation, please ask .
