1955 Chevrolet Cameo Truck finished in Bombay Ivory over Commercial Red.
Coming to us with the odometer showing just 40,273 miles that are believed to be original!
This is a true barn find that lived most of its life on a farm as a work truck, having the OEM bed put in storage and preserved while the truck was being used on a farm.
Brought back to its original condition during an extensive frame on restoration completed just 4 years ago, this classic Cameo truck has a few updated perks that any collector would appreciate.
In 1955, Chevrolet introduced the Cameo truck, nicknamed the "World"s first sport truck". It was built at the factory alongside Chevrolet"s iconic Corvette.
The Cameo Truck had features available only in 1955 and only on the Cameo, including the following:
The Bed is molded fiberglass, exclusively for the 1955 Cameo Taillights are from the factory old stock and were previously used on the 1954 Bel Air Hubcaps are from the factory old stock and were previously used on the 1955 Bel Air Whitewall tires Contrast-colored "B" pillars Chrome front and rear bumpers 2 tone Dash and bench seat Only produced in one color, Bombay white over Commercial Red 3-speed column manual shift transmission This Cameo has received some modern-day touches as well, including:
327/340 hp Small block V8 with new Edelbrock Carburetor Manual and Electronic overdrive for the transmission Bed refinished in the correct color combo of red on the inside, wood bed, and cable style tailgate supports All new chrome, new Coker tires, new weather stripping, engine dress-up kit (valve covers, bow-tie bolts, etc), new battery, new brakes, new interior, nothing left untouched!
