This truck started life as a 1954 GMC pickup, equipped with a 6 cylinder engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. The original owner had it for 20 years, and he put the flat bed on it. The second owner had it for 40 years. He mounted the cab and flat bed on a 1972 Dodge Power Wagon ¾ ton 4x4 frame, axels, and transfer case. He added a Chevy 350 ci short block engine, a 5 speed manual transmission, power steering, and power brakes. This is a one-of-a-kind truck that never fails to turn heads. It does have heat and defrost. Heater coil was replaced this year.
I have a brand new radio in the box, NOS, looks like old AM but is AM/FM.
All gauges work. Tack, water temp and gas gauge are new. Spedo, oil pressure and amp gauge are original.
Never overheats. It has 200 degree thermostat and always runs at that.
Drove it from Connecticut to Cape Cod in 2016 and from Cape Cod to Portland ME this year on highways and interstates. It steers straight and brakes straight. The 5 speed transmission has an overdirve 5th gear, so it will go as fast as you have the nerve to take it.
