1954 FORD CRESTLINE VICTORIA
I purchased it in 2017 and started rebuilding it from the ground up.
The body is restored to original condition with no body repairs or dents and 100% rust free. The engine ( 239 cubic inch overhead valve) is original type with some upgrades, such as 12V battery and alternator. Engine also has dual exhaust and a modern radiator. Has original type Automatic transmission. Exceptionally nice engine bay with the tall oil bath air cleaner boldly painted in red and announcing its "special" nature. With matching valve covers .
New interior ($2000 cost) was added in rolled and pleat material. New matching carpet, headliner and door panels. All weather striping rubber replaced. And all glass is in great condition. Complete new wiring of original type converted to 12V ., but retaining the original gauges, radio, heater and clock at 6V with a converter. All lights replaced with 12V lights. Complete front steering and brakes reworked. New shocks all around. Topped off with over ($4000 cost) of show quality chrome. All original stainless trim in great shape. Engine is painted original colors and body was painted the original two tone colors ( Cadet Blue on bottom and Sandstone White on top) late summer of 2017. With new original type fender skirts. Also has 5 new modern whitewall tires and original wheel covers. All restoration completed between Jun. 2017 and Aug. 2018.
