You are Bidding on a 1953 Mercury Monterey that is equipped with a 255 cu flathead V8,125 hp, with a 3 speed manual column shift. The odometer shows 40100 miles and the previous owner indicated he thought it was correct. The undercarriage is not not detailed but it is in good condition. There is no rust on the rocker panels or floor panels, indicating that it could be the correct mileage. The exterior was refinished in Jade Green around 2009. The paint looks great and it shines well. All the stainless trim and chrome is in excellent condition. The seats, door panels and headliner are very nice with no rips or tears, The windows all roll up and down and are operable. The carpet has a little wrinkle on the drivers side. There are a few paint chips on the drivers side interior door upper door sill. The trunk has been partially detailed and it looks to be the original spare The car starts and runs good, but is a little cold natured in the first few minutes but then runs out good. it does not smoke and the brakes and tires are good. It shifts through all the gears nicely. The radio turns on but does not play. The heater has been bypassed. This Mercury is a nice driver, but is not a trailer queen. It is priced very reasonably.
