Vehicle description
1953 FORD F5 TRUCK * SELLING WITH NO RESERVE*
$1 to start - Highest bid wins!
This truck was built as an original bulk fuel truck. The cab and sheet metal is from 1952. The 53 is the first year for the Ford straight six overhead valve engine, which is how this truck is configured. Standard F5 four speed transmission. This is an interesting Ford truck with an uncommon fuel deliver tank configuration. The truck starts, runs ,and stops, but seems to lose power when at operating temperatures. Not sure why this occurs and I have not explored the cause. A previous owner converted the truck to 12 volts, which makes life a little easier. There are some new parts that go with the truck - such as new king pin kit and braided stainless flexible brake lines. The truck is worth more as an assemblage of parts so I will not part out the vehicle. Some minor rust in common areas, but fixable. For safety reasons I recommend towing or hauling the truck for anything beyond a few miles. The truck comes with one spare tire/wheel - seen in the last picture. Shipping services are not offered.
Winning bidder is required to pay $500 within 48 hours of winning.
Clear WA title in my name, WA state collector plates. No texts, please e-mail me for any questions.
Winning bidder is required to deposit $500 through ebay/PayPal.
Please DO NOT bid unless your intention is to buy the truck! Non-paying bidders will be reported to ebay.
