Vehicle description
1953 F350. Original 239 Flathead, Ford O-Matic HD trans. Truck was used by the Trojan Corn Seed Co.
I purchased the truck when it was found in a barn. Brought it home, and went through everything. The motor started right away after going through typical procedures. Then pulled it, replaced every gasket. New water pumps. Went through the transmission, everything was good. Drop center headers, 2 1/2" exhaust. Mufflers on both sides. Sounds really good!
Converted the engine bay to 12volts. Then ran a reducer for the 6volt accessories. All work just fine. Does have LED tail lights and turn signals. Original dome light.
As far as bringing life back to this truck so many different things were done and custom built. Well over a hundred parts were sandblasted and painted. Custom running boards built from scratch, along with the front HD bumper and tail light guards. All the wood on this truck is Black Walnut and Hand Built. I used dried first cut slabs with bark an ripped every single piece of wood on this truck. Stake side panels with expanded metal inserts. The bed is sooo awesome. All done by hand. Looks like its on fire its so cool. Custom hand built bed rails with blue gun polish, all fasteners are hidden. Ran carriage bolts and acorn nuts just about anywhere you would notice.
All new natural grey tinted glass, and gaskets. New seals around doors and cowl.
All the chrome emblems and trim were sandblasted then wire wheeled and clear coated. It gives it almost flat rose gold silver look. Which turned out really nice. Never seen that before.
Added an extra lower panel behind the back fenders. Gave it a more even look. The rear of the truck was built to match the extra panels. Added the receiver hitch, D-rings and trailer plug. This truck will pull!
The paint is hot rod satin black. Its probably a 7 out of 10. But still looks pretty good. The rest is satin avory for the grill etc. Has all original body panels. Only two spots needed some metal work. I did not try to fill any dents because there wasn"t many and it gives it character. But the truck is pretty darn smooth.
All new cream interior, carpet, door panels, kick panels, back drop panel. The seat is really comfortable. There"s rubber inlay under the seat to the back for tools or whatever.
I"m sure I missed a few things but there was a ton of time put into this project. It was a honor and blast to work on it. Who ever buys this will not be disappointed.
Comes with all the original paperwork from March 31, 1953. Truck buyers order, service policy, car invoice from original dealer, operators manual, random insurance policies and registrations from random years(70"s).
This truck will sell, I negotiate with everything. And I have no problem lowering reserves. I want to build more vehicles and continue to enjoy doing it. $1500 non-refundable deposit is required to wining bidder via PayPal. Will help with shipping anyway i can. Happy bidding! !
