“It currently is not running and will need a new battery. Three yeas ago, I bought this from a friend who moved out of the country and as much as I’d like to get it running again, I just have too many projects. I haven’t touched it since it was dropped off. From the cab forward, the body is good except for a broken bumper bracket. Rear fenders need a lot of work and the buyer might be better off replacing them than trying to get them in shape.” |

Vehicle description
Please read the full description before bidding and ask any questions you have. I will be actively managing the bids on this listing and will cancel bids of anyone with 0-1 feedback unless you contact me before bidding.
If you are local and want to see it, message me, however I will not conduct any deals outside of once a bid has been placed.
Please get your estimates for shipping before bidding. The truck is located in Forney, Tx, 75126
This is registered as a 1953 Chevy truck. The body sits on a 2001 Chevy Blazer chassis, with stock Blazer trans, motor and suspension. This truck is NOT running. The prior owner was a member of my classic truck club and sold it to me when he retired overseas. This was delivered to my house on a flatbed trailer and has sat under a cover for 3+yrs. He had gotten the truck running but just prior to his move, the engine died/started making noise; I have not touched the truck since I took possession. My plan was to purchase a new crate Vortec V6 motor to swap in place as this was going to be my wifes classic driver and I wanted to insure reliability. However we went a different direction and bought her a classic vette so she has no interest and I don"t have the funds to support all of my projects.
From the cab forward, body is in decent shape, though there is a broken bumper bracket on the drivers side. The bed needs work and the fenders will take a bit of work to get in shape but replacements can be purchased.
I am 6", 240 and fit in the drivers seat with plenty of head, leg, and steering wheel room.
To be very clear, the truck is not running, it will need to be towed. I can"t say for sure why it is not running and maybe a more mechanically skilled person could get the engine back to life.
Updates:
1. Old Air heat and A.C.
2. New glass and seals in cab and door.
3. Blazer bucket seats and Sport Trak center console
4. New Disk brake calipers and disks on all four wheels
5. New Bluetooth stereo system
Tank has also been relocated from the cab.
