1953 CHEVROLET Step-side, 3100 Pick-up Truck. Stunning Restoration
This Chevy truck was meticulously restored in the Spring of 2015 by an experienced Chevy truck lover. The complete frame-off restoration on a very straight original truck allowed for an end result of a detailed and show worthy rig. Original motor is Thriftmaster with 3-Speed column mount transmission. Along with original parts which were restored, and replacement quality reproduction parts, the vehicle has a long list of hidden upgrades and quality details all presenting the truck as nearly perfect. The all new wiring harness was done in the neatest show quality fashion, and all new lights with signals were added with correct for the period turn-signal control. Paint, body, and chrome are of the highest show quality.
Here are the major elements of the truck; New headlights, and buckets, tailgate hardware kit ( to eliminate the chains ), splash pan, grill, hood latch panel, hood emblem, side window regulators, glass and chrome frames, window felts, 2 speed electric windshield wipers, (12 volt ), firewall pad, floor pads, headliner insulation, sand-blasted and repainted seat frames, gas tank, stainless steel screws through out interior, interior light, bumpers, and brackets, wood oak floor in bed (looks amazing), water pump, coil, points, plugs, condenser, rotor, cap and wires, white wall tires, hub caps and beauty rings, and many more small parts making this a truly enjoyable tour & show worthy vehicle. Truck has been detailed since photographs, and undercarriage wiped. All gauges work.
The motor has been checked for compression, oil pump checked, radiator cleaned and flushed, and the generator, starter, and carburetor have been restored. The truck was painted with base-coat / clearcoat in a paint booth and baked for a smooth finish. It appears no short-cuts were taken during restoration so that the truck is fun to drive and certainly show worthy. California correct Black & Yellow plates with "53 "tabs" are registered to the truck and title. Truck is currently registered. .month and 2018 year tabs not shown in photos but kept in glove box. Custom truck cover is included. Ownership is by a clear California Title registered to a private party, not a dealer.
