Vehicle description

BEING SOLD AT NO RESERVE! !
This is a pretty solid old rat rod truck! It is a 5 window short bed half ton model that has had modifications. The engine is an Oldsmobile 350 rocket from a 1972 cutlass "s" that runs really nice! Recently pulled from a low mileage car that was parked years ago because of bad brakes. It starts right up and sounds good with dual exhaust and glass pack mufflers. It has good power, but not a dragster. It has a new aluminum radiator, electric fan, plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor, and a new chrome alternator. Transmission is a th350 auto, new fluid, new hard lines, and new kick down cable. A B&M auto shifter with 8 ball knob is mounted on the floor between the new vinyl bucket seats, and a 50 cal ammo box serves as a console. There is a 1960"s chevy steering wheel connected to a custom mustang 2 rack and pinion steering system with tubular A arms, and power disc brakes. The gauges are new, as is the turn signal switch, ignition switch, and headlight switch. All wiring has been replaced, a new fuse box and battery has been added. All of the glass and window seals are new, so are the tracks that go on the bottom of the door glass, new window felts are also installed in the doors. New tear drop l.e.d. tail lights have been added for safety. All the soft and hard brake lines, and fuel lines are new, rear axle is a 12 bolt out of a 1973 c10. unknown gears, new wheel cylinders and shocks added. New gas tank is installed under the bed. New power brake booster, adjustable proportioning valve, and master cylinder, all of the front end is new (calipers, rotors, wheel bearings, stainless braided brake lines, shocks etc.) The floors are mostly original, a few patches were put in, truck bed liner applied over that. Cab corners are original, body has dents/dings/scratches/imperfections. Hood has been smoothed/shaved of emblems and center strip. Vintage, ratty/crusty Cragar wheels complete the look of an old 1960"s hot rod. This truck is getting close to 70 years old, it is not a show truck, so don"t expect one! It is not perfect, it will probably need some finishing/adjusting/ tinkering , that"s part of the fun, right? It has been driven around the block since being put back together to make sure it runs/drives, nice and peppy! Steers, stops, and accelerates better than a new one in 1953, I"m sure. It has not been taken very far ,or very fast yet though. Tags expired decades ago, Clean TX title issued in 1976. The truck is being sold to the highest bidder, this person is BUYING the truck, not the right of first refusal, check with your bank and significant other before bidding, if you have questions, ask them before bidding, If you would like to come see the truck, ask, and I will do my best to accommodate you. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
