Vehicle description
Up for sale is a 1952 Studebaker - with a little more than meets the eye. It’s sitting on a 1970 Chevelle frame, so old style with better driving characteristics. It’s a neat old cruiser, and great to drive anywhere. Been on quite a few 200+ mile road trips without any problems.
Drivetrain is a Small Block Chevy 350 with a Turbo 350 transmission. Engine is mostly stock and mild except for aluminum intake, Holley carb, and a set of headers. Trans shifts smooth and zero leaks from engine or trans.
The 1970 Chevelle frame has been under the car for a while, and has power steering but manual drum brakes on all 4 corners. Stops good and straight, and just had alignment and new tires installed. Also has 2.70 rear gears for easy highway cruising and a 15 gallon fuel cell to get you the distance.
Front wheels are 15 x 6 Rallye style with 205/75R15 Rear wheels are 15 x 8 Rallye style with 235/70R15
Interior is vintage white tuck and roll all over. Shows nicely and fits the period nicely. Original gauges are still intact under current gauge covers and does have oil pressure, temp, and volt gauges in small center cluster under dash. Has a killer vintage Don Garlits tach, and even has seatbelts to take the family with you.
I’m listing this car for a friend who has actually owned it twice over the past 10 years. He bought it back about 2 years ago and started enjoying it again but kinda looking for a new project. There may be some info I forgot, so feel free to ask any questions.
