Vehicle description
You are looking at a 1952 GMC Panel in incredible straight ( as in laser straight) and Rust Free condition. This GMC was heading towards becoming another show winning vehicle for a very talented builder who suddenly passed away last a little over a year ago. We had been looking a long time trying to find one to build into shop truck, but it seemed like everything was either a rust bucket or filled with bondo. Anyone who has ever built a show car or truck, knows how much better off you are to find a rust free project if possible rather than pay for extensive body restoration. Even the ones that we found that were fairly complete and running and driving were either poorly done ( and still expensive) or nicely done, very expensive and too nice to tear down and build the way we wanted. When I learned about this panel, and learned of the owner, builder"s former show winning vehicles, I had to take a very close look at this one. I did and I bought it. I also paid to have it shipped to Northern Washington State.
The body is setting on the stock frame with the stock rear end. There is no front suspension and there is no seat. The front is setting on a cross bar with casters. The body, doors, hood, front fender, nose, grill surround and grill are all fitted and in excellent, straight , rust free condition.
The doors have been modified for one piece glass and bear claw latches. The rear fenders and running boards are straight and rust free too. The rear bumper has been re-shaped to fit closer to the body. The rear door handles have been removed and filled for use of electric actuators. The dash is modified too. There are no dents. It has a clear California Title. I have used the pictures provided to me when I bought it, and one or two or it setting in our shop. I hate selling it, but that is how it goes. We were intending to build a nostalgic 324 Olds Rocket V8 for it, but I am selling the engine and have listed the vintage speed parts too.
