Vehicle description

1952 GMC, 1/2 ton, Short bed.
Sold new in San Fransisco Bay Area and spent it life there, garaged.
I recently got it back on the road after a short sleep (sat since 2013). I replaced the fuel system completely, tank, rubber lines, fuel pump, carb. I used an OEM style tank and when I pulled the original tank out there was an original toll pass from 1953 to travel the Golden Gate Bridge (included).
The truck was babied it s whole life as evident by the body. It is rust free and super straight. It has has one repaint over the original blue, and no evidence of any filler (it would be obvious by now). Painted in early 80"s probably.
The glass and rubber in the truck is all original and in great shape. No rattles going down the road, very smooth and quiet.
The mileage reads 98685 and I am inclined to believe it. The odometer is working ( but speedo jumps around).
It has been converted to 12 volt. Has a New Battery. Newport Engineering 12 volt wipers. All lights and gauges are working, as is the horn.
The truck has its original bed wood under a sheet of diamond plate. From the bottom the wood is very solid.
It has a Curley Bardon Rear Bumper made in Woodland, CA.
The 228 in the truck has a rebuild tag on it. I doubt it has very many miles. Oil pressure is solid(60# cold and runs 30-40 # when warm. Engine is free of grime and oil. It fires instantly, idles very smooth and runs very good. It goes down the road great, front end is nice and tight, good steering and solid brakes.
It has new tune up parts. Fresh oil change.
3 speed on column shifts nice.
New floor mat.
Still has original paint on some of the floors in the cab. Cab covers have no rust, blisters, nothing, and they are original with original weep holes, same with the doors. Super solid truck. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere.
It has an original GMC hood Rocket. I have a fresh Air heater for it, new glovebox liner and a few other spares.
This is not your average old truck pulled out of a field, it has been garaged from new and you can tell when you see it.
I had all 5 original wheels powder coated and new correct original size tires put on it. Along with new hubcaps and Beauty rings.
It has a clear CA title. I can hold the truck while transportation arrangements are made. I can send to port of Oakland for $250 and Long Beach for $400.
