I have for sale my 1952 GMC 150. I have had it for about a year and a half, and would call it a project. Don"t see as many old GMCs like this on the road these days.
I purchased it with the intent of fixing it up, but lack the time or skills to do so.
It has a 305 sbc with a turbo 350 transmission. It"s sitting on a s10 frame, has power steering and power brakes.
It has dents, scratches, and rust, but has a great patina. They way I heard it once was that a truck that has been on this earth that long, you would expect it to have something. .and it really is true.
I changed the wheels out with painted rally wheels off a 70 Monte Carlo, running 235/60/15 on front and 255/60/15 on the rear. Center caps and trim rings come with the truck.
The truck needs a few things. It will start but then stall unless you keep your foot on the pedal. Don"t know if the carburetor needs adjusting, rebuilt, or something else.
Glass is original with the exception of the doors. Original gauges do not work. Does have an aftermarket gas gauge and digital GPS speedometer. Headlights, brake lights, and turn signals work.
It did not have running boards when I got it. I did buy a pair. .still not mounted, but will come with the truck.
I have gone through all the proper channels and am waiting on NC DMV to issue a title. Between COVID and the fact that they are moving locations, with some departments at the new location and some at the old, all paperwork is delayed. It could be any day now or it could be a few more weeks. I don"t believe the VIN on the truck is original and another was issued at some point in it"s life. As peculiar as NC is, they issue their own VIN, which will be reflected on the title.
For anyone living in a state that does not require a title, I will provide a notarized bill of sale. The truck is currently registered and insured. If you require a title, I will forward via UPS as soon as I receive it and will provide tracking number.
Nothing to hide on this one. Just ready to move on and let someone who has the skills and means to take this truck to the next level.
Like I said, not a mechanic, so I really don"t know a lot about the motor, but will tell you what I know.
