Vehicle description

1951 Willys Jeep Pickup 4WD With Overdrive and all rear PTO components Rebuilt -250 miles since rebuild Here is a classic 1951 Willys Pickup. Following WWII Willys marketed these trucks as an alternative to the farm tractor. They can be set up with a rear PTO. Truck has been completely rewired, rebuilt 4 cylinder engine, new carb, fuel pump, gas tank and sender, rebuilt brakes, transmission, new seats, headliner, and all working instrument cluster, rechromed front bumper with overriders and for the Maryland buyer restored ‘51 plates. Has 110v inverter mounted on engine (red part that looks like a generator in the pictures) - really rare. The truck was repainted in the original green. There was very little body work required when I got it. There is no rust or rot. This truck has OVERDRIVE…very rare and works great. You can comfortably cruise at 55 without the high RPMs. This truck comes with the Transfer case, Rear PTO and both drive shafts yet to be installed. There will be some modification to the short drive shaft required because of the added overdrive. The large shaft needs a spring that is missing but the dust boots ate brand new. This is not a trailer queen, but a very nice restoration. All original…no weird modifications. $24,500 – serious inquires only please. "In 1950, the truck became the "473" with the "Hurricane" 4-cyl engine as an option. Like the Station Wagon, the 473 model included a modification to the grille, which now formed a "V" shape in the center, and included the addition of 5 horizontal bars. When this happened, the radiator attachment was changed from the chassis to the nosepiece. Another change in 1950 saw the discontinuation of the two-wheel drive model. In the following year (1951), the 2WD 1-ton and 1/2-ton trucks were also discontinued, leaving only the 4WD models." 4-134 F Head Motor (473)
