Selling 1951 Mercury to complete a new project. This is a v ery clean and straight body with original Flathead 255 v8 The color is Banning Blue Metallic w/Gray Block Broadcloth interior. Also, I have owned the Merc for the past 6 years and has been in my garage and very well taken car off. The engine drives very good and have driven the car from San Diego to Los Angeles on many occasions. Below are some of the upgrades/positives: 12 volt conversion with all new factory reproduction wiring under dash and engine compartment Powergen Alternator with traditional look and reliable, modern performance Pertronix points w/Flamethrower 40k volts coil Original 3 Speed w/overdrive (new factory overdrive harness) Front disc brakes (less than 50 miles) Front Disc Brakes All new dash and engine compartment wiring harness cloth wire (factory reproduction) Radiator re-core on June 2018 Water pumps rebuild June 2018 Rebuilt stock front end suspension: New Coils Tie Rods Lower spindle support w/eccentric bushings Upper Control Arm Inner Shaft seals Lower Control Arm Inner Shaft seals King Pins Front/Rear Shocks Alignment done by Clarence Brown Alignment Services Front inner bearing, inner race, bearings, seals Rebuilt Distributor by Bubba"s Hot Rod Shop (Fellow Hamb) Rebuilt Starter Spark plugs, Wires All receipts included
Now for some of the minor issues I have yet to complete. Although the interior is very clean and complete, there are some minor tears on the door panel. Secondly, the tires should be in my opinion 4 inch whitewalls but have yet to invest in them. . Hopefully the new owner gives this gal a new pair of shoes.
I do hope this Merc goes to a new owner that loves these years as much as we have enjoyed and been able to be proud owners. . Enjoy
