Selling our very ORIGINAL RARE 1951 Mercury. This car belonged to my Dad. it was last driven about 20 years ago. It"s a 2 owner car. The engine is the stock V8. 3 speed transmission, all numbers match. 37,500 on the speed-o. Getting hard to find are these 49 50 51 Mercury"s. This one is all original except for the hub caps. I took it out of storage and put on newer radial tires. If your seriously interested I can text you pictures of any area of interest . Very dry under- belly. Has had seat covers so the original mohair cloth looks good. Headliner has small tear behind the visor. I wanted to restore it but it needs the brakes redone and the engine won"t turn over so it looks like it"s going to take a bit more than this old guy can do without a hoist. A small block and AC would make this the ultimate cruiser. If I ddn"t have a nice old Ford I would definitely keep this car This is an un-restored car hence their are some imperfections. Some of the chrome shows oxidation and the door rubber is brittle. The paint looks OK for a driver, has some touch ups. You will be hard pressed to find another original body like this one. no ripples down the sides dead straight. This is not a show car but it could be used as is or be a great foundation for a really cool street or resto-rod.
