Vehicle description
1951 Kaiser, designed by Dutch Darrin, is acclaimed to be one of the most beautiful cars ever built. The Club Coupes were only built in 51 and 52, with only 5000 made. This one is enhanced with the addition of a "Coronado Kit", a dealer installed item on mid 50"s Fords and Chevys. It matches the contours of the Kaiser very well, and is easily removed leaving no new holes in the trunk. The car is lowered 2" front and rear. The radio delete plate was modified to contain gauges for fuel, voltage, temp, and oil pressure. A stereo with memory card capability was installed to play your favorite music. The engine and transmission swap was straightforward, only requiring a smaller distributor to clear the firewall. It has a Pertronix electronic ignition in it. The best feature is the power steering box which gives the car wonderful steering, true tracking. and no play. The box is from a Jeep Grand Cherokee and bolted into 3 of the 4 original holes.
