1951 Ford Prefect E493A ,English Ford 34,000 original mile TIME CAPSULE ! ! I am 2nd owner, same family owned 66 years. Left hand steering purchased in Canada. Has dealer installed Heat/Defrost, Philco AM Radio/ Philco antenna /Driving Lights. Also added were water pump, remote oil filter, electric fuel pump, upgraded carburetor. New Coker Wide White Wall Tires. Painted 1 time? ? ? ? ? years ago, still holding up well ! Excellent condition , Body and Chassis look like they have never seen rot or rust . Dash is perfect everything in interior is all original, even floor mats , etc. .except seat covers. The car has always been garaged for 70 years ! ! Registered Running Driving. Needs some tinkering , carb, transmission a bit noisy, drips ,shifts fine thru the 3 speed . Probably needs a rebuild after 70 years, or drive the way it is! I Drove the car to a car show 2 days ago, 50 MPH no problem and 40 minutes drive time each way. Have some orig. family paperwork and manuals and books on the car. Parts are available .Drive as is , Make the Prefect Perfect with very little, or Drop In A Very Large V8 Engine and other goodies! ! .Hot Rod IT Out. ! ! But I Would Keep IT Original ! !
