“Betty” is a 1951 Ford F-5 dually flatbed truck, that was once used by a local school district, to haul water to schools in the mountains. She doesn’t run fast, so she’s not your average daily driver, but she can haul anything and would look mighty nice in a parade! Betty has exceptional & beautiful natural patina, and has been restored mechanically, to sound condition, including a new carburetor and fuel pump. She now climbs up to her current owner"s home at 6,700’ elevation in the Rocky Mountain foothills. A planned move, due to downsizing and the new place doesn’t have any room for her, require sale of our beloved Betty.
Clear State of Colorado title. Located in Loveland, CO. Original Ford Flathead V8 engine. Mileage is 23,167. 3-speed manual transmission. Bed wood is there, but will need to be replaced. The bed structure is in solid. Factory, 5-lug split-rims.
The recent work completed, includes: New brakes. New 7.50 x 20 six ply tires. New wiring and bulbs, including taillights. Converted to a 12-volt system. New radiator, hoses and belts. New upholstery. Interior of cab, thoroughly cleaned and painted. New exterior rear-view mirrors. Original glass. Original body and paint with exceptional Patina.
