Vehicle description
1951 Ford 2 Door Custom This is being re-listed because the prior winning bidder backed out right away for no reason. Please – Please only bid if you will go through with the purchase. Great Shoebox Ford with some custom touches. This car runs and drives great. Stays cool and cruises along nicely. You can take this car anywhere in style and comfort. Flathead engine with an Offenhauser aluminum in take and 3 carbs. 3 speed manual transmission converted to a floor shifter. Fenton headers that are coated leading to a new dual exhaust with chrome tips. Electronic ignition Chrome tubes from the radiator, chrome one wire alternator, chrome air cleaners. Stainless radiator overflow tank. New air cleaners, oil cap, radiator cap. Engine bay is completely painted and the engine is painted and heads have chrome nut covers. Fresh oil change and the engine starts, no smoke and runs great. Runs very smooth. The car is lowered by shorter springs in the front and lowering blocks in the back. New shocks. It rides and steers great. Brand new Coker wide white tires on 5 spoke wheels. New lug nuts and center caps and they are balanced. Frame is cleaned and painted with POR-15 Undercarriage is completely solid, no holes. Converted to 12 volts with an all new wire harness. Added gauges under dash all work for temp, oil pressure. Fuel gage works, all lights work. The brakes are drum brakes which have been gone through. They stop great and honestly better than the disc brakes on one of our other cars. Drum are coated. Front conversion to disc would be easy and cheap. I was going to do that but these brakes stop great. New gas tank and lines. New gas manifold to carbs. Electric fuel pump. Wipers work, just currently covered the posts. All new chrome – bumpers and grill. Body has frenched headlights and frenched tail lights done with high quality. They are LED taillights. New Chrome license plate frame with a light that works. Side trim removed along with trunk handle. Trunk opens with button in glove box. New outside mirrors and dummy spots. Has new rubber throughout, windshield, back glass, doors, trunk. Interior is completely redone to include front seats are new Scat by Proar buckets and the front and back seat upholstery match along with the package tray. New carpet with sound deadening mat underneath. New visor brackets. Original heater box is under dash and in great shape. Brake and clutch pedal pads are new aluminum type with rubber inserts. Aftermarket steering wheel that fits the style of the car well. Bluetooth radio and new speakers. Trunk has upholstery sides, spare cover and back panel the same pattern as the interior. The paint has flake in it and I call it blue/green. It is nicely done and the flake is very even although the body has just a couple minor issues. Around the rear wheel lip there are some rust bubbles. Below the fuel filler it looks like gas dripped down at some point. There are a few nicks and dings although not in the main areas of the car. The paint shows really well and shines nicely. You really don’t notice unless you look for the couple minor issues. There is nicely done pinstriping in areas. The body is very solid. Floors, frame, body is all very solid. This car is a great mild custom which runs and drives great and the work done to it is of high quality. Perfect for cruising or showing. I think it is priced very fair for the car, hope you do to. Please feel free to ask questions. Sold As Is. Clear Ohio title in hand. Buyer responsible for shipping.
