Vehicle description

This Power Wagon is without a doubt the cleanest, most original, unmolested example of the marque I have seen in many, many years. It is also very evident to anyone who is familiar with these trucks that this one has had a very easy life. The history gleaned from the vin and also the paint patina is also very intriguing. It appears that this truck may have come from Dodge as a cab and chassis and was painted in the standard green/black configuration. It then shows evidence only on the cab of a change to a military green common in the fifties and then of course the current yellow which was common on town vehicles at the time. In fact there is faint remnants of the town logo in RI and it appears that the very substantial truck body was also added at this time. Did this truck do time in Korea? It is possible or did it never make it that far? From the condition of the body, running gear and the bed it is very evident that it did very little if any hard work. It is true that the truck was stored away for many, many years in RI. As to the truck itself we recently purchased this truck from the very skillful owner who had spent many dollars and hours rejuvenating but not restoring the Power Wagon, one could honestly call it a survivor. Our intent was to seriously modify the truck with an updated running gear, interior and paint but it was quickly evident that this one is just too nice to cut up. Fortunately shortly after this purchase we were able to acquire another which is pretty decent in itself but missing most of the items we would have been replacing anyway so my guys will be starting on that one soon. Much work was done on this one in MA during the winter of 2020-21 and consists of a complete valve job with all new components, new oil pump, new water pump and hoses, radiator flush, new shocks, new 9.00-16 tires(5), new brakes including shoes, cylinders, lines etc. flush the fuel tank, new Weber/Holley 2-bbl conversion, new wire harness, re-arch the springs and more. Not done yet but included is the interior headliner kit and the seat upholstery. The truck is still six volt positive ground and most everything seems to work as intended including the winch. To be street legal by the letter of the law the wiper motors should be rebuilt and one half of the windshield has a crack. To be upfront some of the glass is starting to delaminate but that is part of the look some folks try so hard to replicate like the fading paint. Could this truck be completely restored like new? It certainly could as much of the hard work is done but some like myself might think it is just fine as it is. It does have the crank out windshield and cowl vent so I guess it has factory air. PB, PS and PW would all be human powered. We have a new exhaust system ordered and should that show up it will also be sent with the truck. If not it can be shipped at buyers" expense. This is a pre-1956 truck so it is non-synchro, one must be fluent in double clutch to drive it. Speaking of that, as usual absolutely no test pilots and starting bid is bottom dollar so low ballers look elsewhere. Will look at interesting vintage race car, hot rod and motorcycle trades plus cash. Shipping is the total responsibility of the buyer, this thing weighs close to 6k, is tall but is normal in width. Thanks
