This is a turn-key street rod that was professionally built several years ago at great expense, and has been loaded with many comfort and convenience options, and is backed by a solid, excellent running drivetrain. You would spend $90k-$100k to duplicate this car today, given all of the extensive body modifications and interior craftsmanship that went into its build. Best of all, EVERYTHING WORKS, down to the overhead dome light. It is a very reliable street rod that can be driven anywhere, at interstate speeds, and is very easy to get in and out of with its wide-opening doors and power-adjustable leather seats on both sides. Perfect touring rod for the sight-seeing couple/family.
VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS:
* Body has been chopped, headlights/taillights frenched, and all trim shaved. * Body gaps are absolutely excellent, and panels are smooth, clean, and flat. * Paint is a gorgeous metallic called Aztec Silver Gold, and is smooth, even, and reflective. NO RUST. * Doors operated with two (2) remote key fobs, with three (3) manually-operated door release mechanisms. * All new glass was installed, including the new V-butted windshield. * Bumpers rechromed when restored, including that amazing Desoto "shark tooth" front. * High-end HALIBRAND aluminum wheels with HALIBRAND spinners and like-new Yokohama tires at all 4 corners. * The beautifully designed interior features all Cadillac leather seating, with dual power seats and 3-point belts. * Cadillac console with cup holders, phone rest, and AC Delco stereo system hidden in console storage area. * Integrated speakers, with a 12-CD changer mounted in the trunk. * Professionally installed custom carpet, and VERY nice all-suede headliner and sunvisors. * Banjo-style billet and walnut tilt steering wheel, full set of "antique" style Classic Instruments (ALL WORK!) * Cold Vintage AC with heat. * Mopar 360 V8 that starts, idles, runs, excellent, with aluminum radiator and electric fans; runs cool always. * 727 automatic that shifts smoothly. * 8.75" rear end with highway gearing for effortless, all-day cruising capability.
Although no classic car is ever perfect, no matter the price, there isn"t much to fault with this car, although you will see a few minor chips/signs of wear, as well as a trunk latch that may need some adjusting. But otherwise, this car needs nothing! And for you observant watchers who noted a missing spinner in one of the pictures, we located a perfect matching replacement and have since installed it.
