I am selling my 1951 Desoto Custom. I have owned this car for 12 years. It is originally from New Mexico according to the previous owner I bought the car from. The car is very solid, floors frame etc. Paint shines very nice, but does have a few chips and dings from normal use. All the glass is good and not cracked. The car runs and drives and is registered. The car is equipped with a fluid drive semi automatic transmission. The car is in great condition for being 70 years old but is not perfect. The tires have some dry rot from sitting, that will need attention in the future. The temperature gauge doesn’t work anymore, radio lights up but no sound, clock doesn’t work.
The car has had both bumpers rechromed a few years back. The wiring harness was also replaced with a original style one. I also have more pictures . Any questions ask. I recommend seeing the car in person. I prefer cash in person but will also accept certified bank check. I cannot ship the car, but can assist transporter. Connecticut does NOT title cars this old, car is sold with a ct bill of sale and copy of current registration. Car is also for sale locally.
