About this vehicle This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable. Seller"s Notes 1951 1951 Chevrolet 4400 truck from California on 1994 1500 frame with one ton suspension to accommodate 19.5 wheels. 6.5 3100 box. I have $20k invested. Professional swap (2 year project)Has 1997 stock fuel injection 5.7L engine with matching transmission with 66k original miles.Frame is a 1994 1500 (1997 frame would have had to be shortened)Power steering, power brakes,Lokar shifter, new wood bed, aftermarket instrument / gauge panel, new carpet, new seat upholstery, new aluminum radiator, new electric fan, new electric windshield wipers, new sliding rear window, new battery (relocated under hood), Fulton sunvisor (not repro),etc etc. Truck was originally a military truck. When I bought it it had the original 216 motor. The frame was shortened to accommodate the 1947? 6.5" bed. The 4400 cab is 4" longer and wider than a 3100. The rear fenders were professionally widened to match. I believe the rear end is a dually. I believe I have 2 matching spare rims (only one with a tire). I wanted that as an option in case I wanted to give it some more "attitude" It really looks like a 3100 truck from a distance but when you get closer to it you quickly realize there is something different and special about it. It makes a standard 3100 look like a little poodle. This has the Rottweiler look. It"s ALL COUNTRY!Great attitude. I looked at 5,000 trucks online before I decided on this one. Selling at a considerable loss after 2 year restoration/ conversion. 98% completed/finished. Needs exhaust completed, gauges don"t work,clip from windshield wiper arms came off electric wiper motor, headliner, door panels. NOTE : THERE IS A LIEN ON THE TITLE.
