Vehicle description
1950 Packard
Deluxe Eight Touring Sedan 288 C.I. 135 HP Automatic Utramatic
This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire the prestige that comes from owning a Packard. This 23rd Series Packard offers a stunning streamlined aerodynamic profile with the legendary straight eight engine.
The Packard interior is luxurious and comfortable for front and back passengers. The back seat looks more comfortable than a living room couch. The trim adds a touch of elegance and glamour.
The Straight Eight 288 c.i. is known for being smooth and torquey with Packard"s Ultramatic transmission. The first year for the automatic transmission to come standard.
Same owner for 35 years. The only reason the car is being sold is downsizing reasons.
This is a great opportunity to inexpensively become a Packard owner.
The car could use a little cosmetic TLC. All original interior except the front seat and front passenger carpet. The English woolen fabric that matches the original backseat fabric was found and the front seat was redone with new English woolen fabric to match the original back seat. The front carpet was replaced but the original carpet remains in the backseat.
The 60,139 miles on the odometer is believed to be original.
The speedometer is not currently working. Coils in speedometer may need to be replaced.
This Packard has plenty of interior room for comfortable touring and more than keeps up with modern traffic. Be sure to check out the pictures.
