1950 BARRIS CUT MERCURY After 23 years I have decided to sell my 1950 Merc Coupe! I purchased the Merc from Renown Car Collector. . .Leo Gephart in Scottsdale Arizona in 1995 from his private collection. The Merc had extensive body modifications at the Barris Kustom Shop on Riverside Drive in North Hollywood California in 1969 (the top was chopped, nosed, decked, hood corners rounded, frenched headlights, original NOS and 57 Caddy Hubcaps). Over the years the Merc has had many upgrades. . A Camaro front clip was used with a modern 350 cu. in. Chevrolet drive train to include a 350 transmission 10 bolt Chevy rear with 308 gears. The interior is White Marine Vinyl and sports a 59 Impala Steering Wheel and has a AM/FM/CD Radio, Motorola 8 Track player NOS, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, AC, new Diamond Back Wide Whites with Airlyft air shocks with an onboard compressor and gauge to raise and lower the rear. This awesome 50 Merc has won so many awards from James Dean Award, several Good Guys Awards as well as NSRA!
