Vehicle description
This is a very unique 1950 Jaguar Mark V. It started life as a cream sedan with red interior. At some point it was modified and converted to its current state for use in films. I purchased it 2016 and have done an extensive mechanical work on it. Recent Work The gas tank has been boiled out and a new fuel pump installed along with new fuel lines. The brakes have been complete redone with new wheel cylinders, shoes, springs and lines. I changed the master cylinder over to a duel cylinder for front and back and the drums were turned. The water pump was rebuilt and the radiator flushed. All the rubber hoses were replaced. The muffler was repair and coating in heat resistant ceramic paint. The valves have been adjusted and the oil was changed. Prior Modification The car was modified to resemble a town car/convertible. Landau bars were added over a portion of the rear door windows with a large crown in the center. There is also a crown logo attached to each front door. The top was removed prior between the windshield frame and the b pillar. The front end was extended to accommodate two additional rows of head lights and chrome ford wire wheels were added with white walls that are currently on the car. The engine and drive train remained original. Current Status Overall the car is mechanically sound and fun to drive around town. Its gets a lot of looks. I have been struggling on whether to restore it or leave it as it is. It has a very Addams Family feel and the patina is something that just cant be replicated. Overall it is a very unique car I am just torn between which way to go, so I have decided to let it go. The floors are pretty rusty and there are rust holes in a few spots that will need to be addressed. The rockers are also pretty badly rotted. There is surface rust under the top where it is starting to come loose. Overall the car is solid. No rust or issues with the frame, fender or anywhere else. I have a ton of pictures so please reach out to me at and I can send them along as well as answer any questions.
