Vehicle description
You are bidding on a 1950 Hudson Commodore Sedan. The car is currently not running. It is badged as having Super-Matic Drive, but currently has a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car appears to have received an older restoration. Mileage shown is 10,870, but actual mileage is unknown. It is being offered with NO RESERVE.
Exterior: The paint is in good-to-very-good condition, with some minor scratches and imperfections. There is an area of trauma on the trunk lid (see pictures). Brightwork is in very good condition. The driver"s side tail light jewel is broken.
Interior: The interior appears to have been redone at the time of restoration and is in very good shape (see pictures).
Structural: The Hudson overall appears very solid underneath. There are some minor areas of visible corrosion (see pictures)
Mechanical: The car is currently not running due what is believed to be a blown head gasket. Approximately 20 quarts of oil/coolant mixture were drained from the crankcase (normal capacity 7.5 quarts.) After draining coolant, system was refilled and monitored for leakage. A couple ounces of coolant made its way to the oil pan over the span of one week. Engine is free and turns over by hand. New head gasket included with sale. New radiator was recently installed. Additional shrouding around radiator needs to be reinstalled. Brakes are inoperative. Car rolls, but may have sticky brake(s).
Contact: Car may be viewed by appointment - mask and social distancing protocols will be enforced. Message with questions or for additional pictures or call/text 574-532-8352.
Terms: Car is offered with NO RESERVE, and is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty of any kind. Title is in hand, and will be accompanied by a bill of sale. Title will be released when car is picked up/shipped. U.S. buyers only. Seller will not ship - buyer responsible for shipping/pickup. Total amount due within 72 hrs. of close of auction. Car must be picked up or shipping arrangements in place within seven (7) days of close of auction. Seller will process payment. Cash, certified funds, Visa/MC/DV/AMEX accepted.
