I have for sale a Chevy 3100 project. This truck was purchased as a project for a s10 frame swap Patina Truck. This truck is an Alabama truck but does the usual rust issues. It has a inline 6 engine that is said to run but I never tried it because I planned on installing a LS or a big block engine. I purchased the truck from a guy who has a really nice collection of cars. This is the one that was left sitting outside and put off as a future project that never happened. Although this truck has a lot of blemishes for its age it still has a lot to offer. I have below a list of the good and bad that I have noticed while I have owned it.
The bad
- Has rust and will need floors and bodywork
- Some of the windows are cracked
- Seat will need to be reupholstered
- Was told it ran but I have not started it
- Will need to be hauled
- DOES NOT HAVE TITLE…NO TITLE…BILL OF SALE ONLY! . .Please check with your local DMV before making purchase! !
The Good
- All of the fenders are there - Engine does turn
- All interior parts and trim are there
- Has 3 factory dog dish wheels
- Great Spring Summer project
- All of the original interior is there
- Would make a great patina truck
- Drive train is still there
- Frame is still in good shape
This truck has potential as a full restoration or as a rat rod. I was going the rat rod direction with a s10 frame and LS swap. It would be perfect for someone who does there own metal and bodywork or someone who wants to change out the frame. I love these trucks and in no rush to sell so if truck does not sell I will complete the swap the Summer. If you need help finding a shipper I may be able to assist.
