Vehicle description
I am selling this 1949 Mercury Coupe "Replicar" "Kit Car"
I know there will be a lot of questions I cannot answer here, so I am just going to list the basics and if your interested you can give me a call at 724-813-8599.
The car is located just outside of Youngstown, Ohio 44509.
This is a molded fiberglass body that I purchased this way and I had intended to swap onto a mid 70"s 442 frame, but it has been sitting in my garage and I will never get it completed. I am selling cheap in an effort to move it fast, before I change my mind.
I bought the car exactly as you see it, a fiberglass mold of a 1949 Mercury Coupe.
It is a full project. It is currently sitting on a 1990"s Lincoln with the correct 118" wheelbase, however you could put it on anything you like. These molds have become increasingly popular and I have a catalog where you can order almost everything needed to complete it.
The car ran prior to me buying it, but the wiring and steering column is a total hack job, hence why I planned to mount it on another frame.
Here"s whats included in this auction:
*1949 Mercury Coupe Fiberglass Body *1 Piece Front Nose *1 Fiberglass Trunk Lid (Includes inner support) *2 Fiberglass Doors (2 supports included) *2 Steel Doors already Chopped (1 door will need reworked) *1 Fiberglass Rear Bumper *7 1950"s Era Desoto Grill Teeth (Fiberglass) *2 Big Bubble Skirts for the Rear (Fiberglass) *1 Fiberglass Firewall (Cut to Suit) *1 1949 Style Dash (Fiberglass) *1 Set of Original 1949-1951 Floors (Excellent Shape) *Manufacturer"s Statement of Origin to obtain Title in Your State. *Catalog *Bill of Sale
This is Currently Sitting on the 90"s Lincoln, but is not bolted down, installed, etc.
This is a complete and total PROJECT CAR!
I have shipped cars all over the country, but this is the kind of Project Car you either wanna see in person, or at least talk about over the phone, so PICK-UP is preferred, but I will work with YOUR shipper if needed.
Overall the Lincoln is accurate as far as specs, but if you want more power, you"ll definitely want to mount this on something else.
I take great pride in my feedback and I am willing to answer any and all questions about this car to the best of my ability, however if you do not intend to pay. simply do not bid!
I require a $500 Non-Refundable Deposit at the end of this auction.
Balance to be paid within 5 days.
Cash in Person, Certified Check, or Paypal for remainder of payment.
All funds must clear before the car ever leaves.
*I know may people will be asking how to title this car in your state, so I will answer that now.
-The makers of this mold supplied a MSO that you can use to obtain a Title in all 50 States, However if you do not want to deal with your state or you have a particularly finicky BMV, DMV, etc. I have a Clean Clear 1949 Mercury Coupe Ohio Title and Body tags that I would sell separate from this auction for $500.
Please read it again. You don"t need it, it"s not included, but it"s for sale to the winning bidder with the car, IF YOU DON"T WANT TO USE THE MSO TO OBTAIN TITLE.
*This Body was chopped, channeled, and the headlights frenched in the mold. It has the potential to be an amazing car. I just don"t have the time or ability to take it there.
