This vehicle is a non chopped Mercury 2 door with incredible history and performs like new.
Bought from original owner who is 90 + years old. Complete nut and bolt restoration finished over 5 years with NOS parts. A well known collector named MERCURY BOB is the only person ever to have wrenched on this car. When restored in 1988 everything exceeded factory detail, screws,washers,nuts, hoses, fabric materials, trim components retain original appearance. Pictures show the detail, frame and driveline finished like exterior body. Painted jet black exterior shows no rust and minimal wear. Fender skirts, extra hubcaps, chamber single exhaust, new suspension with static lowered suspension on front and rear 3”. Grill and all trim has been highly polished and installed with correct clips. Doors, hood, trunk ,windows, locks all function good as new. Original glass shows correct markings.
Rebuilt original Flathead V8 mated to factory Overdrive 3 Speed Transmission Correct 6 volt positive ground cloth covered wire harness All gauges and lights are perfect and function Brakes fully rebuilt and coated POR15 New Firestone Bias 3 1/2 WWW beauty bar tires mounted to gloss red painted steel wheels Original 1949 Hubcaps and rings included / red center hubcaps not included .
