Car History
Post War trucks are becoming a very hot commodity in the collector car hobby, and we have a sweet 1949 Chevrolet pickup truck restoration here at Adventure Classics that has originality and a lot of upgrades too.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 1949 Chevrolet is the beneficiary of a detailed restoration with an upgraded powerplant under the hood. It has a small block 350 cubic inch ChevroletV8 engine with added performance from the high-performance carb and intake, performance exhaust, modified distributor and ignition system with performance spark plug wires, chrome valve covers and the open element air cleaner, rack and pinon steering and front disc brakes, and shifted by a R350 3-speed automatic transmission and modified Fat Man front end.
The engine sits in a very neat, painted, and detailed engine compartment with its smooth looking firewall behind it.
Interior
Hop in the completely re-done custom interior and sit down on the classic bench seat upholstered in two-tone red/tan with matching door panels, and gaze at the body-colored painted dash with the aftermarket Classic gauges, stainless trim, solid wood steering wheel on a tilt column, with an updated AM/FM stereo radio system, tan carpet, automatic shifter on the floor, and it all just looks better than it did back in 1949.
Exterior
The exterior features new silver metallic paint flowing over the vintage truck and you will know this 1949 Chevrolet was restored with care. It has a new chrome bumper in the front, new grille, new custom wood slats in the painted bed, dual chrome mirrors, and rides on just-right aftermarket 5-spoke mag wheels on neat blackwall tires to give it the perfect stance and "the look."
Conclusion
This 1949 Chevrolet pickup truck with restoration that we have here at Adventure Classics is the total package of originality, paint job, chrome, great-fitting body panels, and sharp looking wheels and tires that makes this not only a true classic Chevrolet pickup truck but the classic modified truck you"ve always wanted.
