Vehicle description
This auction is for my 1949 Cadillac Series 61 Sedan project. Local Tucson, Arizona car that hasn"t been touched since the license plates expired in 1978. The original 331 motor is complete from fan to flywheel. It turns by hand, but I’ve never tried to start it. I have other projects I"m working on. . so this one needs to go.
The car is equipped with the following; Hydra-Matic, push button radio w/antenna, under seat heaters, glare proof rear view mirror, both backup lights, windshield washer, and door edge guards. The dealer installed a "Frigi-King" under dash a/c system at some time in the mid 50’s, and it’s still intact.
There is no evidence of accident damage anywhere on the car. The only place I found rust was in the passenger rocker panel. . which also affected the leading edge of the front floor under the sill plate. The rest of the car is rust free. The bumpers, grill, and most of the exterior chrome polished up well. The interior chrome cleaned up even better. It"s pretty solid for being 72+ years old.
The car is missing the following items; stock wheels/hubcaps, bumper jack, front/rear emblems, back seat, taillight/turn signal lenses, gear shift knob, horn button, and fender skirts. None of the glass is cracked, but the windshield does have fogging. I can’t open the trunk, but can see from inside its empty. Someone in the 70’s did a cheap paint job, and it’s flaking off everywhere. The original paint color was #10 French Gray, the interior was #37 Gray Dual Cord & Broadcloth. Not many restorable 49 Cadillac’s left (even sedans).
AZ title is clear/notarized, ready to transfer. The car rolls/steers, and I will assist with loading. Buyer to arrange pickup or shipping. Funds must clear before vehicle leaves the property. The car is located near Tucson, Arizona (85653). Please look at all the images, and email me with any questions. The AZ title is clear, and ready to transfer. $500.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit required within 24 hours. The remaining balance to be paid in full within 7 calendar days by either cash, certified bank check, or PayPal (plus 3% fee). For International bidders; PayPal is the only form of payment accepted. The car rolls/steers, and I can assist with loading. Buyer to arrange pickup or shipping.
As always, thanks for looking.
