Vehicle description

Let me start off by saying that I have pulled down the first listing on the car, and have redone the listing to include more information and pictures. Listed for sale is a 1949 Cadillac series 62 convertible. I have owned the car for about 12 years, purchased out of Wichita KS, car originally came out of Oklahoma. The convertible top has been chopped two inches, a Fat Man Stage 3 front frame stub has been installed with polished control arms, disk brakes, power rack, complete drive train from a 1968 Cadillac donor car, 472 engine transmission and rear end are all from a 90,000 original mile 68 Cadillac, car ran very nice when drive train was pulled. New ididit tilt/telescopic steering column, tail light lenses, door sill plates, wood convertible bow, windshields, dome light and other parts. Extra set of headlight buckets, park light housings, tail light housings, grill, side trim, dash speaker grill, nice set of rear fender spears. A 1952 Buick hood was purchased, and the braces removed, placed in the Cadillac hood with the Buick hood hinges. Cadillac hood will open from ether side like the Buick"s from those years. Spare tire was filled in so gas tank could be centered to run duel exhaust, gas shocks installed on trunk lid, trunk floor is solid. Front floor on the drivers side has a small hole in the middle, about the size of a silver dollar. A patch on the floor behind the front seats will be needed. There is some rust under the rear stone guards and rocker trim. This is a very nice start to a mild custom build. Please remember that this car is still in the set up phase, The hood has not been cut up, Buick braces can be removed, and stock hood hinges can be installed, this is not a hacked up car, and the new owner can decide what direction to take the build. Please ask questions, the only way to make sure you are happy with your purchase, is to know what you are buying. I can email you my phone number, if you have a lot of questions about the car. I will be away from the computer for a few days next week, but can answer questions when I return.
