Vehicle description

You are bidding on a 1948 Ford F-1 in original condition. This truck DOES NOT have a title. Ebay does not have a choice for no title, so I chose clear title. I have a Bill of Sale from the gentleman from which I purchased the truck, and I will also provide a Bill of Sale from myself.
The VIN tags are in place in the glovebox and on the cowl and they both match. The truck left the factory in 1948 with a flathead straight six, but at some point someone threw in this super cool Mercury 8CM. The engine and drivetrain are completely intact and the truck looks to have been driven with the Merc engine for quite some time. The engine is currently stuck. I have put PB Blaster down the cylinders and am continuing to try to free the engine. The truck rolls just fine. I have put good 16" tires on it since I took these photos. The transmission and clutch appear to work just fine. The truck has it"s original axles and brakes.
The only thing not original as far as I can see (other than the engine swap) are the bucket seats (mid 60s AMC Marlin bucket seats) and the steering wheel. It is missing a couple of dash pieces, but the original gauges are still there. Both door side windows are broken and will need replaced. The under side of the truck is rock solid including the frame. This truck has some body rust but it is not a rust bucket. This is a solid, original Ford F-1 with a very desirable Mercury 8CM hotrod flathead engine. It will make someone a great restoration project or hotrod pickup project.
I have plastic over the side windows and can store the truck on my property in Steamboat Springs, CO until the new owner comes to pick it up. The truck rolls easily and the emergency brake still works. I will be available to help load the truck onto your hauler. I hope to get out and get more photos. Contact me if you"d like to see something in particular. Thanks for looking.
