Vehicle description
This car belongs to our son who is stationed in the middle east and has asked us to sell his car. His priorities have changed. He put all of the parts on the car over the past year just to see how it will look. Okay here is what the car has so far. It has a Nova disc brake subframe and an open drive Nova rear end. We dont know the year but I think he said 69-73 model. The 350 engine block and 350 transmission came out of a 1980 chevy. The drive shaft is already cut to fit the 1948 car. The car comes with brand new tinted windshield glass and a new front rubber seal and a full set of tinted side glass wrapped in newspaper in photos. Comes with brand new chrome tilt steering column still in box and new dummy spot lights. Has original headliner with all the bows still attached to the headliner. Has two extra matching tires and wheels so you will have 4 the same. Car is 5 lug bolt pattern on all wheels. Car has original Fulton visor but the visor clamps are reproduction Has 4 original corner bumper guards, a pair of 40s original cruiser skirts and a set of fiesta spinner hub caps. The hub caps have a few little dings. This car is very solid for being 73 years old and you can plainly see that it has never been wrecked or filled with bondo. The only dent on the car is behind passenger fender skirt area. The entire car has the original paint and patina. Our son looked for quite awhile to find a 48 with the small amount of rust that this car has. Most he looked at had really rusted out trunks and most were rusted out on the lower cowl area. This car needs a new spare tire well which cost $180 and easy to install and passenger door bottom needs patching in. The rest are small patch areas. I have done the best I can to tell you everything I know about the car. This is the way our son left it in the driveway and we are surprised he asked us to sell it for him. I put the extra parts in the trunk and on the floor. This is a project car that our son never got to finish. He painted the whitewall tires just to see how it would look but they are only tires to roll it around on. He purchased it with no seats or upholstery. The front bumper is not properly attached and the former owner cut off the ends so we are including a pair of stock original front bumper brackets that our son bought to replace the other ones. . Please bid if you like this car but remember that the deposit must be paid within 24 hours. The balance within 3 days. Thanks for checking it out. . .Roberts Dad
