NO PAY PAL! ! ! I am listing my 1948 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 ton MONTANA pickup. I really don"t want to sell the truck but am now fighting cancer at 62 years old so I need to get rid of some vehicles. I bought this truck a while ago and really have never driven it other than around the block a few times. This Great old pickup was stored for many years in a garage in Augusta, Montana when I found it about 3 years ago and then it took me over a year to get it bought. Anyway, Now I am offering it for sale here on E-bay. NO PAY PAL! ! NO PAY PAL! ! About the truck. This truck is all original other than some paint and body work over the years. The truck has lots of character as it sits. I had the carb rebuilt and the engine purrs like a kitten. It drives also really well but I wouldn"t drive it other than around the block as the tires are old and worn out but hold air just fine. So it needs tires. The master cylinder needs replaced and I WILL HAVE that done in the next few days. So the brakes will be ok before auction ends. Truck steers good and drives good. All glass is good. windows roll up and down like they should. Doors open and close like they should but should have new door welting installed. Truck still has the original bed wood and its still in pretty good shape. The rear fender are a little wavy and painting different shade of blue. This truck was owned by a elderly man who couldn"t see very well and what he did as far as paint and body work sure wasn"t the best but that"s where the character comes from. Please notice how the original paint on the firewall cleaned up. Also you can still see some original pinstriping on the drivers door.There is a electrical short some where in the wiring as the rear tail lights stay on and will run the battery down. The 6 volt battery is just a year old. Clutch works as it should and shifts as it should. NO PAY PAL The only rust in this truck is on the cab molding on the rear of cab. (look at the pictures) It has one small hole about the size of a quarter with some other stating to come thru. I think a easy fix. The cab corners are in good shape with No rust! Cab Floors are in Good Shape with No Rust! Tailgate is perfect. Hood is Good! I have tried to describe the truck the best I can But if you have any questions Please Just Ask! ! NO PAY PAL! ! I Do Require a $500.00 deposit within 72 hours and the balance within 5 days. This truck has always been in Montana its whole life. We have never used salt on the highways here, Only get 12 in. of moisture per year and a Very dry climate. A Great time of the year to see beautiful Montana. Has a short in the wiring, (tail lights stay on) Will have New master cylinder by the end of the auction.
