Vehicle description
Very original Chevy Two door needing to be restored or placed on a modern frame (116"). Car would be an ideal candidate for that conversion. The frame on the passenger side is okay, but the driver"s side will need some steel repairs along with the rear cross-member. All three locations are in the pictures. Selling this car at "NO RESERVE" last highest bid will own it.
The person I purchased it from had started on the interior and block sanding the body, which isn"t too bad. He ran into medical problems and had just started trying to get the engine area. I did as compression test and five of the cylinders read 120# each, but number five was low. I shot marvel mystery oil down the cylinder and let it set and the reading came up to 90#. The oil may loosen the rings, as the car had been setting for over 30 years. I have been using the clutch and transmission to work as brakes, so the brakes will have to be redone, if going original. Most of the flat floor panels will require some simple repairs also. The doors and windows work pretty good, one side glass is cracked as shown in pictures. Windshield is okay. Starter spins it over pretty good, I corrected some of the wiring to make it operable and still some has to be replaced or reconnected, but it"s there to follow. New blue dot lens and frames on the rear, not hooked up. New distributer wires and cap, newer battery and new cables, hoses and belt. Spare tire is original and surprisingly holds air. Have all original split front seat and back complete in pretty good condition, currently has Sebring interior now. Any questions okay to call William at 217 - 549 - 8 1 1 4.
