Vehicle description
1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster, 216 engine, 3 speed on the column, upgraded to 12 volt. Great condition. Exterior and interior are very nice. All of the lights, dome light, turn signals, gauges, speedo, and clock works, except for the fuel gauge. It stays on full. The handbrake doesn"t work. I drive it to town about every other weekend, runs alright. It has a couple of oil leaks that need to be addressed before driving long distances. It smokes on first start up but quits once you start driving. One of the leaks looks milky, so I have a NOS copper head gasket that comes with the car in case that"s what it is. However, it has never overheated on me. The only bad spot I could find is at the bottom of the drivers door, as pictured. This car gets lots of thumbs up and compliments when its parked. Has a WW2 lucky strike cigarette holder with Marlboros packed in it. I just purchased it on valentines day and have no desire to sell it. I was gonna fix the leaks and have it as a cruiser this summer but I got laid off of work last month. Just got my job back last week but not sure for how long. So just selling to make sure I have enough to pay the bills. Thanks for looking.
